Let’s be honest: writing a 300-page novel is intimidating. It takes months, sometimes years, of solitary work. It’s a marathon that most people never finish.

But writing a short story or a bite-sized book? That is a sprint. You can do it in a weekend. And the feeling of seeing your name on a published cover is just as sweet.

At Bitebooks Hub, we believe everyone has at least one great story in them. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to start writing, this is it. Here is your roadmap to going from "blank page" to "published author" on our platform.

Step 1: The Micro-Idea

The biggest mistake new writers make is trying to do too much. A short book isn't a condensed novel; it’s a focused moment.

  • Fiction: Don't write about a 10-year war. Write about the 10 minutes before the peace treaty is signed.

  • Non-Fiction: Don't write "The History of Finance." Write "5 Money Habits to Fix Your 20s."

The Rule of One: Focus on one character, one location, or one core lesson.

Step 2: The "Vomit Draft"

Perfectionism is the enemy of done. Set a timer for 60 minutes. Your goal is to write 1,000 words without stopping.

Do not edit. Do not check your spelling. Do not worry if it sounds bad (it will sound bad, and that’s okay). You can’t fix a blank page, but you can fix a bad draft. Just get the story out of your head and onto the screen.

Step 3: Formatting Your Manuscript

This is where many writers get stuck, but it’s easier than you think. You don’t need expensive software.

  1. Open Google Docs or Microsoft Word.

  2. Set your font: Use a readable serif font like Garamond or Merriweather (Size 12).

  3. Add a Title Page: Center your Book Title and Author Name on the first page.

  4. Export: Go to File > Download > PDF Document.

Why PDF? It locks your formatting in place so your book looks exactly the same on a phone, tablet, or laptop.

Step 4: Design a Simple Cover

People do judge a book by its cover. But you don't need to be a designer to make a good one.

  • Go to Canva.com (it’s free).

  • Search for "Book Cover."

  • Pick a template that matches your genre (Minimalist for non-fiction, moody for mystery).

  • Change the title and author name.

  • Download as PNG or JPG.

Pro Tip: Keep it simple. Big text and one strong image work best for digital thumbnails.

Step 5: Click "Publish"

You have your PDF. You have your Cover. Now it’s time to share it with the world.

  1. Go to the Publish page on Bitebooks Hub.

  2. Upload your PDF and Cover Image.

  3. Write a short, catchy description (the "blurb") to hook readers.

  4. Hit Submit.

Our team reviews submissions within 48 hours. Once approved, your book will be live in our library, available to readers around the world. You’ll get a dedicated link to share with friends, family, and on social media.

You are ready. The world is full of people who want to write. Be the one who writes.
